When you submit samples for analysis, we collect sample metadata necessary to perform testing and deliver accurate results. We also collect standard web analytics data (page views, browser type, referral source) through privacy-respecting tools.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process service requests, perform laboratory analysis, deliver results reports, issue invoices, and provide customer support. We may contact you with service-related updates or, with your consent, information about new offerings from BRS Lab Services or our brand portfolio (Test Your World, SporeCount Agri, AI Lab Services). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Sharing

We share your information only with service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g., cloud hosting, billing), and only to the extent necessary to perform those services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Test Result Confidentiality

Laboratory results are treated as confidential and are released only to the authorized client contact of record. White-label partner client data is maintained separately and is not accessible to or shared with other clients.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Data Retention

Physical samples are retained for 30 days following report delivery. Electronic records, including test results and client information, are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with laboratory accreditation requirements, or longer if required by law.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. Residents of Michigan and Canada have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
